DESCRIPTION:Each spring\, typically from late March to mid-April\, American White Pelicans migrate northward\, passing through Fox Lake. The Village of Fox Lake celebrates this event with "Pelican Palooza\," a fun-filled two weeks highlighting the migration and local businesses. \n\nIn 2026\, this event runs from April 1- 17\, and it includes a photo contest\, kids crafts at the Fox Lake Public Library\, a photo exhibit of past pelican photo entries\, and a scavenger hunt with the opportunity to enter a raffle to win fun prizes!\n\nPhoto Contest: Take a photo of the Pelicans! It'll last longer! Submit your photos to partake in our yearly Pelican photo contest. Online submissions can be submitted starting March 16th and closes April 3rd. \n\nScavenger Hunt: Explore local businesses and see what kind of offers they have by participating in the scavenger hunt! Pelican Passports will be available April 1st and the last day to submit is April 17th.
