SUMMARY:Chain O'Lakes/Fox River Watershed - Educational Meeting: Excess Nutrients
DESCRIPTION:With funding from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) Section 319 program\, the Fox Waterway Agency is taking the lead in overseeing the development of a Watershed Based Plan (WBP)\, which is a strategy and work plan for identifying existing water quality issues and identifying potential solutions to protect and enhance water quality.\n\n \n\nThe key to success in this effort is educating those watershed stakeholders on the various issues and encouraging their active involvement in both the watershed planning and watershed plan implementation phases.\n\nAs part of this effort\, education outreach presentations are being scheduled on the current state of water quality issues and conditions of the Fox Chain O'Lakes\, as well as opportunities for watershed stakeholders to help address these problems.\n\n \n\nThis meeting will be an educational meeting on Excess Nutrients. Please join us and learn how the watershed plan will help the Chain O'Lakes and Fox River.
